Echo Pole pruner won’t initiate
Inspect the spark plug for signs of wear or damage. If the porcelain insulator is cracked, an electrode is burned away or damaged, or there are heavy deposits of soot around the electrode, it may be time to change your spark plug.
You can test to see if your current spark plug is functioning as expected by comparing its functionality with a known good spark plug mounted in another pole pruner engine.
The recoil starter pulley helps take care of things. If you didn’t have a way to rewind the starter rope like the recoil starter pulley, then you wouldn’t be able to start your car when you were done using it for a day.
In that case, it would be about as good as a brick! So make sure you regularly inspect this important mechanism and replace it if need be.
If the recoil starter is required and not functioning, check to see if the recoil spring has snapped off. The function of this spring is to pull in the rope after being released by the starter.

If the carburetor is clogged, consider using a cleaning substance such as carb cleaner to clean out the excess buildup and do some more testing to see if this fixes your issue.
The fuel filter might be clogged. Make sure you wipe all lines with a clean, soft cloth to ensure there’s no dirt in the lines – if there is, it can rub against the nozzle tip and block off the flow of fuel.
Also, make sure you change your pruner’s fuel filter every few years, depending on how often you plan to use your pole pruner, if you don’t then small debris may accumulate slowly and plug up the tiny holes within the filter causing a foul smell and operation issues.
If the air filter is clogged, the engine will get too much fuel and not enough air. As a result, the engine may run roughly. If you are comfortable, it’s recommended that you replace it before anything else to avoid serious damage being done.

The spark arrestor is a small screen that prevents the engine from emitting sparks. Over time, the spark arrestor can become clogged with soot.
If the spark arrestor is clogged, the engine may stall, so it needs to be cleaned periodically or replaced entirely as it gets too dirty.
